Research published in the journal "Health Psychology" shows that mindfulness is not only associated with feeling less stressed, it's also linked with decreased levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Stress does not only affect our Health, it affects also our ability to rational thinking, consentration, creativity, ability to listen, see possibilities, make constructive decisions, make good presentations, communicate the message in a understandable way. REDUCES PAIN Research from the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine shows that mindfulness together with art therapy can successfully decrease stress symptoms among women with breast cancer. And not only that, but imaging tests show that it is actually linked with brain changes related to stress, emotions and reward. KNOW OUR TRUE SELVES Mindfulness can help us see beyond those rose-colored glasses when we need to really objectively analyze ourselves. A study in the journal Psychological Science shows that mindfulness can help us Discover our "blind spots," which cna help us change unwated patterns and behaviour and become more flexible and relaxed. Improve Your relations to yourself and others. Improve you self confidence. As you become more relaxed and present in the moment it may be obvious that you become a better communicator. And when the parasymphatetic Nervous System is more active we tend to use more of our brain and particularly our rational brain (the frontal lobe).
This workshop may last from 3 hours up to a day depending on how many practical sessions you want to include. Everybody will receive a compendium and will learn all the necessary tools to be able to practise Mindfulness in their daily life.
Courses and lectures may be held in Norwegian or English. We offer courses for whole organizations and for individuals. Mindfulness can be a separate course or part of an event, a kick -off or any other kind of gathering. We supply any kind of follow-up afterwards; individual coaching, more specialized courses for smaller or larger groups or larger seminars according to the needs of your company. |

Even though Mindfulness may be traced back to Buddhism and Hinduism, it does not belong to a religion. It is about becoming the best version of yourself. When we worry or stress we reduce our ability to rational thinking, which may result in bad communication, less beneficial decisions, we may become too focused on threats instead of possibilities, it becomes more difficult to concentrate and maybe even more important; the joy of doing a good job, the motivation and inspiration is reduced and sometimes even lacking.
All our courses are about improving the quality of life. Not only improving the fiscal revenue, which may of course be a side effect, but learning how to enjoy life more, becoming more creative, motivated, concentrated, healthy, calm, full of energy, clear thinking, self-confident, … On this course you are learning methods which are natural and easy to do. The modern, busy living has taken us away from what is easy and natural. We think rather than just live. We worry instead of experiencing life. We let our beliefs prevent us from reaching our goals. When your start to use Mindfulness as part of your daily life you will change. Not because someone has told you to do so, but because when you let go of belies and worries that are not useful for you, you start to become you; the best version of you. It is natural to be in the present. It is natural to empty Your mind for useless and stressful thoughts. It is natural to choose what you want to think, it is natural to be relaxed, concentrated and it is natural to choose to look at things with an open mind and from a variety of perspectives. |
